Fewer and fewer poeple are using the Yellow Pages.

When Comparing the cost of a Yellow Page ad to Internet Marketing, it could be hunderds of dollars vs. almost nothing if you do the work yourself. And that's per month.

Your customers can find your Local Business Listing using the sites below.

These sites also provide backlinks to your own web site. Backlinks are Gold.

Backlinks help your search Ranking. Google likes backlinks.

You don’t necessarily need a web site since most of these sites offer a free info page. However, If you really want to attract customers, you should get a web site to show people what you can do for them.

Yahoo Local.

You get a free listing showing your Local company info.

Google Local business Center and Google Places

This is probably one of the best ways for a Local Business to get found.

The listing is free. You can add Photos, Videos, and Links to your website.

Your business may already be Listed by Google, so you will need to claim it.

Google will call you or send you a Post Card for verification.

After your listing is active, get recommendations from your satisfied customers

This will make you rank higher in Google.

Google Base

List your products for sale. For Free. You can also make a link to your site.

Local.com

Free Listing for your business. Shown in Google Search results.

AOL Local.

You will need to scroll down to “How do I add my business listing

to AOL Local Search?” Then click on the Directory Listing Information link

Free Listing. Shown in Google search results.

Merchant Circle

This is one of my favorites. You can connect with others and post

your business Blog. Merchant Circle listings show up in Google Search.
